Naughty and Not So Nice
My holidays have been kind of a train wreck. First Mommy was away from me for a whole day when I first got to Texas because Grandma and Grandpa’s car wouldn’t start. Then a day later I was lying next to Grandma on the couch. She was stroking my head and telling me what a pretty girl I am. And then the next thing I knew, she stroked my back (which I really don’t like) and before I could stop myself — I bit her hand. Bad. Mommy had to take Grandma to the Emergency Room TWICE!!! Grandma had to get something called a tetanus shot and they gave her antibiotics. Ever since then, she’s been kind of weird around me. Like she’ll come up to me and put her face near me, but she won’t pet me. Grandpa too! I mean, come on, I’m only cat. I’m not some ferocious feral beast that’s going to chew them up into little Christmas cookie pieces. Speaking of cookies — there’s like a new basket of cookies at our door almost every day! They must have some Olympic eaters or a large number of diabetics in Texas.
Here’s what I like about my Texas trip so far:
Running around the house at a high rate of speed
Jumping up on the kitchen countertop (even though Grandma yells at me when I do it)
Crawling into Grandma’s purse (she calls me Snoopy)
Staring out the bathroom window at the other animals in the neighborhood (there’s a lot — including a 3 legged cat that can run super fast)
Mostly, I like being with Mommy. She’s the best in the world.
